As you can imagine, pumpkin patches in Houston are hard to come by. At least, good ones that are nearby and relatively INEXPENSIVE . One popular place about a 1/2 hour North, called Dewberry Farm, was fun, but it's only open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays, thereby making it ALWAYS crowded and it costs a WHOPPING $11 PER PERSON to get in!! And that doesn't even include any food or extra costs for other activities once you're inside!!!!
Well, for a lack of anywhere else to go, we bit the bullet and went there for our family outing before Halloween. It was a bit cooler on the Saturday that we went (towards the beginning of October) and therefore it was at least bearable (ie: we didn't sweat to death). There weren't any cute photo-op places set up to take Fall pictures, which our beloved Topeka and Kansas City pumpkin patches had. So that was too bad. You'd think that for $11 a piece, it'd have it all.

One thing that was cool was that it had these 2 jumping "pillows." I've never seen these things anywhere before, except for in pictures from Japan on my friend, Shelley's, blog. They were fun.
There was also a looooong slide that the kids liked . . .
a huge hay stack with hiding places to jump down into . . .

And of course, some farm animals to feed and pet

Kimbal is getting so big. Missouri is freezing now. Wish I were in TX where it's warmer.
