It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood . . .

Well, I just got back from the park with my kids (who are now all napping happily in their beds! yea me) and WOW!!  . . .  It's just a gorgeous day outside today!!!!  74 degrees at 2:30 in the afternoon.  Humidity is only 48% (mark that one down in your journal - oh, I just did) and Sunny!!!  YYYYEEEAAAHHH!  I just had to post about it!!

Finally, a nice day - and during Spring Break even!

Pretty soon, I'll be complaining about how hot and miserable it is - so I'm just enjoying it while I can.

March 16th is a big day!

It's Sarah's Birthday!  Today she turned 4 years old.
For old time's sake, here's a walk down memory lane with Sarah . . .

Happy birthday, big girl!!

quick photo shoot

Here's a few pre-church pictures of the kids that I
took a few weeks ago.  I thought the girls looked
cute - all matchy-matchy. I even took the time
to curl their hair. As usual, Kimball wanted in on the
action. So he's not quite fully dressed, but he
matched too!

What is going on??!

One minute, I am writing a new post and "publish" it (the post below).  The next minute, I "view my blog" to check on it and everything's gone!

WHAT??!!

Now that I've written this post, everything's back.  WEIRD.

Allison's big news!!

Well, She did it!  Allison was accepted in the the "Challenge" program (aka: gifted/talented program).  I'm excited for her!

Back in  November, I talked it over with her kindergarten teacher, and decided to complete the application for her to be assessed/tested by the School District.  I had to fill out this huge parent assessment, then submit 2 home projects of Allison's "work," then they observed her in the classroom and took 2 more classroom projects that's she'd done.  After that, they took her out for testing and more assessments!  Man, talk about thorough, huh?  I was indifferent whether she got in or not, but I knew that she'd enjoy it and do well if she got in.

Soooo . . . starting this month, Allison will have 1 hour a week in the Challenge classroom. Next year, in first grade, she'll get to go to one whole day each week.

Way to go, Allison!

ps: this picture is just a close-up of Allison from a group shot of all three kids before church one Sunday. It turned out pretty good! (except for the blurry area where I took out Sarah's partial body from the picture . . . that wasn't so good . . .)
