So much for Field Day

Today is Allison's last day of preschool.  It is/(was) the most anticipated day of the year (well, week, anyway) for Allison.  I say "was" because it's been thunderstorming since last night and it's still raining now.  So, Allison doesn't know it yet, but their field day will probably be inside.  Too bad.  I have good memories of field day, myself.  Although, I never went to preschool, so I never experienced it until I was school age.  It's funny that schools STILL do field day, isn't it??  It kinda seems "old school" (no pun intended) but, yep, they still do it.   If the preschool had been smart, they would've watched the weather forecast and done it yesterday.  YESTERDAY was absolutely gorgeous. A perfect spring day . . . Finally.

I FINALLY got out in the yard yesterday and planted my new flowers for the year.  Every year I go and buy more perennials for my flower beds.  It always costs so much, and takes alot of time to get them into the ground, but it's one of my passions to work in the yard.  I'd much rather be working in the yard than in the house.

This Saturday is the first day of the "weekly shares" that I will be getting throughout the summer & Fall from  my "community shared agricultural program."  I can't wait.  If you are wondering what a CSA program is, you can look here.  This is where I will be getting my produce from this summer.  Therefore, in my own garden, I will pretty much be planting just tomatoes and a few other things.
